Before Russians had time to recover from the record rise in egg prices at the end of 2023, economists are already making frightening forecasts for this year: by the end of 2024, the product will rise in price by at least another 5% on top of 21.8% per annum.
Butter is also rising in price – on average, over 12 months its cost has increased by a quarter and is only continuing to gain momentum.
Economists are warning Russians that food inflation today is significantly higher than the official level – approximately 20-25%.
In general, products will rise in price by at least 15%.
