He also received the honorary title of “Distinguished Military Specialist”. The assassination attempt on Lt. Gen. Fanil Sarwarov took place on Monday around 5 a.m. Polish time in the southern part of Moscow. The car exploded a few seconds after the soldier drove away from the house.
According to Russian media reports, the 56-year-old had numerous shrapnel wounds, fractures, leg wounds and broken facial bones. The Russian serviceman did not survive. It is not known yet who committed the attack.
