Representatives of the Mobile Gendarmerie Group “Glad Voivode” Timișoara reported that the scandal started during a check on the sale of products likely to be counterfeit. During the action, one person refused to identify himself, becoming recalcitrant, and another man intervened preventing the application of legal measures through violent acts and insults.
“To resolve the conflict, the gendarmes intervened to immobilize the two people, who were later taken to the ambulance to take legal measures”, stated the gendarmerie officials.
They added that internal checks have been ordered to analyze how the gendarme acted and to clarify all aspects related to the incident. Upon completion of the investigation, appropriate legal measures will be taken.
