67 percent Poles are satisfied with the financial conditions of their households; This is the highest number in the history of measurements, CBOS reported on Friday.

Compared to November, the share of people satisfied with the financial conditions of their households has increased (from 62% to 67%) and is currently the highest in the history of CBOS research. The share of people who perceived the conditions of their households as average (from 33% to 28%) and poorly (from 5% to 4%) decreased.
The percentage of people satisfied with their and their family's standard of living also increased (from 63% to 66%). “The forecasts regarding material conditions have slightly worsened, and the forecasts regarding the standard of living have practically not changed. However, they are still dominated by the belief that the status quo will be maintained,” CBOS noted.
In December, assessments of the direction of changes taking place in the country are similar to those in November, CBOS reported. Every third respondent perceives them positively (33%; a decrease of 1 percentage point), nearly half negatively (47%; no change), and every fifth respondent has no specific opinion on this subject (21%; an increase of 2 percentage points).
CBOS noted that the forecasts regarding the general situation in the country are slightly worse than those made in November. The share of those hoping for an improvement in the situation in Poland decreased slightly (from 19% to 16%), the share of those who did not expect changes increased (from 42% to 47%), and the share of those afraid of a deterioration did not change (30%).
As in previous months, the share of those dissatisfied with the political situation is several times higher than those who are satisfied (44% compared to 12%). At the same time, a significant number of respondents rate it as average (38%), according to the CBOS survey.
Predictions regarding the political situation in Poland are slightly worse than those recorded previously, noted CBOS. The share of those predicting deterioration increased slightly (from 24% to 26%), the share of those expecting improvement decreased (from 13% to 11%), and the percentage of those predicting no changes basically did not change (55%), CBOS reported.
According to CBOS, assessments and forecasts regarding the economic situation have not changed significantly in recent weeks. There are still more satisfied than dissatisfied with the condition of the Polish economy (34% compared to 27%), and a significant number assess it as average (an increase of 2 points, to 36%). The largest proportion of respondents believe that the economic situation will not change in the next year (47%), slightly more than one in five expects improvement (22%), and almost one in four fears its deterioration (24%).
The “Current problems and events” survey was conducted as part of a mixed-mode procedure on a representative named sample of adult residents of Poland, drawn from the PESEL register. Each respondent independently chose one of the methods: direct interview with the participation of an interviewer (CAPI method), telephone interview after contacting a CBOS interviewer (CATI), independent completion of an online survey (CAWI). In all three cases, the survey had the same set of questions and structure. The study was carried out from November 27 to December 8, 2025 on a sample of 948 people (including: 62% using the CAPI method, 24.8% – CATI and 13.2% – CAWI). (PAP)
