Fenerbahce are ready to make one of the biggest moves of the winter in the transfer market. Joey Veerman, one of the best midfielders in the Eredivisie, is very close to leaving PSV Eindhoven and arriving in Istanbul.
According to the information published in the international press and confirmed by the transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the Turkish club has already reached a full agreement with the player regarding the personal conditions and is going to activate the termination clause, which will come into force during the winter mercato period.
20+ million euros for Joey Veerman
Fenerbahce is willing to pay around 20 million euros for Veerman, which is the clause in the Dutch midfielder's contract. The Turks put an impressive salary on the table, around 4 million euros per season, a figure that convinced the player to say “yes”.
Veerman, 27, is having one of the best seasons of his career and is an undisputed starter at PSV.

Impressive figures in Eindhoven
Transferred in January 2022 from Heerenveen for €6 million, Veerman has quickly become an imposing player for the Eindhoven side.
His statistics at PSV:
-
177 matches
-
31 goals
-
59 assists
In this competitive season in the Eredivisie, Veerman reached 8 goals scored and 7 assists in 22 matches.
No call after EURO 2024
A Dutch international with 16 caps, Veerman contributed a goal and four assists for the “Machine Orange” national team. However, the midfielder was not called up again after the 2024 European Championship
In November 2024, Veerman extended his contract with PSV until 2028, but the club rejected the first serious offer from abroad in the summer.
Premier League, missed out again
Brentford came very close to signing Veerman last summer, but the move fell through at the last minute. If the transfer to Turkey becomes official, Veerman will become one of the most expensive players in the history of the championship.
