❗️At least 10 people hospitalized, one died due to infection after eating McDonald's burger
In the United States, authorities are investigating an outbreak of E. coli associated with McDonald's Royal Cheeseburgers in several states.
At least 49 people in 10 states fell ill, 10 were hospitalized, and one elderly Colorado resident died. Currently, cases have been reported in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
It is not yet known which ingredient was the source of the E. coli. McDonald's is right now trying to determine which product caused the cases – restaurants have already stopped using fresh chopped onions and beef patties in several states.
Following this news, McDonald's shares have already fallen by more than 9%.
