According to the General Prosecutor's Office in Munich, those detained are a 56-year-old Egyptian, a 37-year-old Syrian and three Moroccans aged 22, 28 and 30. The operation was carried out under the direction of the Central Office for Combating Extremism and Terrorism of the Prosecutor General's Office with the participation of officers of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution. As the DPA agency writes, at the initial stage of the investigation, the prosecutor's office does not rule out that the arrested foreigners were planning an attack in Dingolfing, a town with 20,000 inhabitants, located about 90 km northeast of Munich, acting for Islamist reasons. They were to use a car for the attack.
