On Friday at the PiS headquarters at ul. The Presidium of the party's Political Committee met at Nowogrodzka Street in Warsaw. According to PAP information, the presidium's plans included: disciplining those politicians who have recently been involved in media disputes. A source from the PiS presidium told PAP that this includes: about the former head of MAP, MP Jacek Sasin, a person from the faction of the former head of MS Zbigniew Ziobro, as well as about former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Bochenek told journalists after the meeting that such meetings take place regularly and concern, among others, the current political or economic situation in the country. – We are also talking about issues that touch on internal issues regarding the functioning of our political environment. Today we (…) also discussed some internal issues, often unduly covered by the media. However, they do not look exactly as indicated in the media, noted the PiS spokesman.

As he added, “these matters were presented and explained, but due to the fact that not all members of the Presidium appeared at our headquarters today, this discussion will probably be continued at subsequent meetings.” As he pointed out at Friday's meeting, there was no, among other things, Zbigniew Ziobro and Mateusz Morawiecki – the former is abroad, the latter was meeting voters in Podkarpacie at the same time.

– Our leader Jarosław Kaczyński will certainly want to convene another Presidium as soon as possible and finally end this discussion – said Bochenek. – I think everyone has a feeling in their gut which direction these matters should go. Public opinion and mood surveys were presented, he said. He also announced that the next meeting of the Presidium would most likely take place within two weeks.

Bochenek assured that no personnel decisions were made at Friday's meeting.

The PiS spokesman emphasized that the meeting participants agreed on the “extremely critical” assessment of the current government, including the situation in public finances and health care. – We, as PiS, have a counteroffer, very specific and substantive – said Bochenek, announcing the party's Saturday program conference on the health care system.

The loaf was, among others, when asked how the PiS leadership views a possible future coalition with Grzegorz Braun and his Crown of the Polish Confederation. The politician emphasized that PiS is currently preparing to gain an independent majority in the next parliamentary elections. – It's really very possible. (…) Due to the fact that we are fighting for an independent majority, today at the meeting we did not discuss such considerations when it comes to any coalitions – he said. He announced that PiS will try to convince some of Braun's voters.

At the end of November, PiS sources told PAP that there are tense relations in the party between Morawiecki's faction and Ziobro and politicians from the former Sovereign Poland camp. The interlocutors then pointed out that politicians of the former SP expected Ziobro's defense, although PiS felt frustration with the attitude of the former Minister of Justice, who is in Budapest. Then, in an interview for Gazeta.pl, Morawiecki was asked whether Zbigniew Ziobro would become the Minister of Justice if he took up the position of head of government again. “I don't plan to do that in my government,” he replied.

The media also indicated that the former prime minister was not included in the team responsible for developing the PiS program or among the 18 thematic groups responsible for developing individual program elements. According to the media, Morawiecki's faction believed that this was intended to weaken the former prime minister's position in the party.

On Monday, on Radio Zet Sasin, he said that Morawiecki would not be PiS's candidate for prime minister because he “represents a more centrist trend in PiS.” – This is not what right-wing voters expect – he added. In response, Morawiecki posted a photo of Sasin on the X platform with the caption: “what do right-wing voters expect.” (PAP)
