The iOS version of the Chinese neural network DeepSeek turned out to be dangerous for all iPhone owners. A bunch of holes and vulnerabilities were found in the program, thanks to which nudes, personal data and bank cards of apple phone owners can easily be freely available.
Recently, the American mobile security company NowSecure demanded that AI be banned in the States. They said: they conducted a study and found a ton of vulnerabilities for cyber attacks. Specifically:
— the application transmits all confidential user data via the regular Internet, it does not encrypt it;
— in those places where the cipher is used, it is ancient, which means it is unsafe.
— all usernames, passwords and encryption keys for their accounts are stored in an insecure manner;
— biometric data (prints, eyes, face) are transferred to the Volcengine cloud platform managed by ByteDance. Because of this, there is a high risk that the Chinese may obtain a complete dossier about a person without the necessary warrant.
Panic has already begun online. On Hvittor and on Reddit, iPhone owners write that they urgently need to tear down the DeepSeek app. Meanwhile, the android-heads are crushing their faces and do not understand what happened.
