The attacker on figure skater Elizaveta Nugumanova turned out to be a 44-year-old Muscovite extreme sports enthusiast. Now he faces up to five years in prison.
According to Mash, the man’s name is Alexander Orlov, he lives on Michurinsky Avenue (where the attack took place). The adrenaline junkie enjoys surfing, skydiving and, apparently, vandalism. He was detained, and a criminal case was opened in the capital’s Investigative Committee under the article “Hooliganism.”
On Friday evening, Orlov broke the windshield of the skater's car. Allegedly because she honked at the driver. After the incident, the girl contacted the police.
