Military exercises with war ammunition in Babadag. Authorities advise drivers to use alternative routes

This week, the military area of Babadag is being fired with war ammunition, which is why authorities are advising motorists to use alternative routes to avoid any untoward incident.

This week, the Babadag Military Range is hosting war munitions exercises that will take place over several days. In this context, local authorities have issued warnings to drivers, recommending avoiding the Enisala – Sălcioara county road section, in order to prevent accidents and ensure the safe conduct of military activities.
The promotion started on Tuesday 9 December at 08:00 and will end on Friday 12 December at 22:00. The pulls will be carried out continuously, in 60-minute intervals, with 15-minute breaks, to allow traffic flow between the villages of Enisala and Sălcioara.
Detailed information about the firing schedule, the intervals and conditions specific to the exercises have been published on the official website of the Tulcea County Council, which recommends an alternative route for drivers.
“In order to comply with fire safety measures, for the smooth running of the activities during the period and at the time intervals mentioned above, we recommend using the following route as an alternative traffic route between the town of Babadag and the town of Sălcioara: BABADAG – DN 22 – town of CEAMURLIA DE JOS – town of JURILOVCA – DJ 222 – town of SĂLCIOARA (and return). Failure to comply with the recommendations presented above can lead to serious consequences for which the Tulcea County Council and the Military Unit are not responsible”, the institution sent.
Restrictions on DN7
Starting from the middle of last month, traffic on the European Road 87, near the city of Babadag, was diverted, with drivers traveling between Tulcea and Constanța having to take longer detours to reach their destination, due to works on the railway infrastructure.
According to a press release from the Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges (DRDP) Constanța, starting from Monday, December 8, traffic is restricted in the level crossing area with the railway located at km 209+435, for the performance of the works, restrictions that will be maintained on DN 22 / DE 87 until December 15
