
Sometimes you want something simple, warm and homey, but you don’t want to run to the store or stand at the stove for hours. We offer this simple and delicious soup. It is made from canned beans, vegetables and spices, and turns out very filling and aromatic.
You will need:
Onion – 1 pc.
Carrots – 1 pc.
Garlic – 2 cloves
Tomato paste – 2 tbsp. l.
Canned beans in their own juice – 1 can
Water or vegetable broth – 1 l
Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp. l.
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp.
Sweet paprika – 1/2 tsp.
Salt, black pepper – to taste
Greens – optional
How to cook:
- Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots.
- Fry vegetables in oil for 5 minutes until soft.
- Add garlic, tomato paste, turmeric and paprika, heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring.
- Pour in water or broth and bring to a boil.
- Add the beans along with the liquid from the can.
- Cook over medium heat for 10–12 minutes.
- Salt, pepper, add herbs.
Serve hot with a slice of black bread. The soup is thick, slightly creamy, with a rich tomato flavor and a hint of spice.
