In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, they are discussing the implementation of a project for agrotechnological classes in schools. This issue was discussed at a meeting of the Committee on Rural Affairs and Agro-Industrial Policy of the Legislative Assembly of the region.

Minister of Education Tatyana Gridasova told parliamentarians that specialized pre-professional agricultural classes have been opened in 61 schools in the region. Agricultural enterprises help purchase equipment for them. Students in such classes study agricultural disciplines in depth so that after school they have the opportunity to continue their studies at agricultural universities or immediately go to work at agricultural enterprises.

“We need to attract and engage personnel from kindergarten, from school. Agricultural classes for students in grades 6–11 are an important link in the training of future specialists. Children can see that the agro-industrial complex is not a medieval production, but modern technology, where drones and robots operate, and interaction with satellites in low-Earth orbit is carried out. The kids are interested in this, and from childhood they change their idea of the agro-industrial complex,” noted committee chairman Vladislav Zyryanov.

The Committee will continue to monitor the progress of the project to create agrotechnological classes in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
