A teenager from Achinsk stole his father’s VAZ and forced the police to use weapons

Achinsk traffic police officers, together with colleagues from Bolshoy Uluy, detained a 15-year-old disenfranchised man who stole his father’s car. This was reported by the press service of the regional police.

The duty station received a message that in the vicinity of the 3rd microdistrict, teenagers were driving a gray VAZ. The traffic police crew immediately left for the specified address. Seeing the patrol car, the minor driver of the domestic car increased speed in an attempt to escape from the police officers. He did not react in any way to the traffic inspectors’ demands to stop the vehicle.

After a lengthy pursuit, the offender headed towards the village of Birilyussy.

“Employees of the duty station of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Achinsky” passed on the orientation of the car to their colleagues at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Bolsheuluiskoye” to assist in stopping the vehicle. A traffic police crew was sent to provide assistance. After repeated demands for a stop by police officers, a decision was made to use service weapons,” law enforcement officers said.

After two warning shots in the air, one of the police officers opened fire on the wheels of the VAZ. As a result, one of the wheels was damaged, after which the car stopped and the driver was detained. In addition to the 15-year-old driver, there were four other minors in the car. Also among the passengers of the domestic car was a woman – the aunt of one of the teenagers, whom the guys gave a ride home.

The car was seized and sent to a special parking lot; material was collected against the boy’s father for improper performance of duties in raising a minor child (Article 5.35 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation) and transferred to the juvenile affairs unit.

It later turned out that the man wrote a theft report against his son. A criminal case was opened against a 15-year-old boy under Part 1 of Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Wrongful seizure of a car or other vehicle without the purpose of theft.” Now the teenager is under recognizance not to leave the place.
