In July 2025, Reghecampf's team won a short version of the championship in Sudan, in which only eight teams participated.
In Rwanda, MC Alger was leaving at the first opportunity. But Al-Hilal Omdurman opened the scoring in the 45th + 2nd minute, after the success of Abdelrazig Omer.
The guests equalized in the 53rd minute, after Mustafa Karshom's own goal. And the winning goal came in the last 15 minutes. Mohamed Abdelrahman, the striker of Reghecampf's team, gave the shot (75').
In the end, Al-Hilal remained outnumbered. Midfielder Salaheldin Alhassan saw his second yellow card and was sent off. This aspect did not matter, and Reghecampf's team obtained the first three points.
Group C also includes Mamelodi (South Africa) and St Eloi Lupopo (DR Congo).
For Reghe's team, the duel at home with Police follows, in the Rwandan championship, on November 26. Al-Hilal has currently not played any matches in the championship they moved to.
Sudan's civil war, which began in April 2023, has left more than 150,000 dead and forced an estimated 12 million people from their homes.
Despite this problem, Sudan qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where they will play in Group E alongside Algeria, Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea.
