A meeting between the president and the prime minister? The deputy head of the KPRP explains the reasons for the delay

Andruszkiewicz, as a guest of Wirtualna Polska's “Tłit” program, addressed the question about the recent acts of sabotage on the railways and the potential convening of the National Security Council. He explained that at the moment there is no such plan, although he did not rule out that the decision on this matter may change in the coming days. He also emphasized that the president and the prime minister remain in working contact, and communication channels between the Chancellery of the President and ministries, such as the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Interior and Administration, are efficient.

“It's a format that cannot be abused”
He also recalled that in the event of a missile and drone attack on Poland two months ago, the president and the prime minister met immediately at the National Security Bureau. The deputy head of the KPRP emphasized that convening the National Security Council should be reserved for exceptional situations that require special attention. — This is a format that cannot be overused. It must be used at really, really critical moments — said Andruszkiewicz, while criticizing the government for not taking appropriate action in the face of current challenges.
Regular initiatives
The minister also referred to President Nawrocki's announcements regarding more frequent meetings with representatives of the government and coalition parties. He noted that such initiatives will take place regularly, more often than in previous years. — A meeting regarding development investments, including the Central Communication Port, was recently held. Now a medical summit is planned, to which the president has invited representatives of all medical circles to discuss the situation in health care, Andruszkiewicz explained.
On Tuesday, the Razem party, led by Adrian Zandberg, appealed to the president to convene the National Security Council. The party leader emphasized the need to discuss counterintelligence protection at railways and industrial plants. — We will soon be adopting the state budget. There is still time to introduce changes, especially in the budget of the secret services, said Zandberg, pointing to the controversy surrounding the financing of these institutions. He suggested that the meeting should be held without the participation of the media, among representatives of all parties.
