On December 1, it will be one year since Eduardo Bove went into cardio-respiratory arrest on the field in a Fiorentina – Inter match, being resuscitated in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. The Italian midfielder, aged 23, was present on Monday in the Senate on the occasion of the adoption of the “Bove Law of First Aid”.
“This law is for the Castelli Foundation, for Matteo, for Stefano Carone, for Filippo Alessandrini, for Davide Astori and I could go on,” said Edoardo Bove.
“I am honored that my name can be put on this law, but also emotional and embarrassed. This law is for everyone. I have seen firsthand the pain of these foundations and their families.”
It's time we all put our hands up and say we want to do something about this problem. My story is different because it happened on a Serie A pitchwhere the medical services are totally different compared to, for example, the fields of amateur teams”, added the AS Roma player.

Edoardo Bove: “Now you see me in a jacket and tie, but I want to wear shorts and a shirt again on the football pitch”
Eduardo Bove sounded the alarm: “Before this event happened to me, I was among those who no longer knew anything about cardiac arrests, and this misinformation makes people afraid.
Other statistics show that if they needed first aid, many would refrain, but for fear of not knowing what to do. What we are trying to do is promote first aid information.
The playing field is schools and sports centers. It's time to raise our hand to respond and show that we want to do something about this problem.”

The midfielder returned after his loan from Fiorentina lives with a defibrillator that was temporarily implanted, because of which, legally, he cannot continue his career in Italy.
“I'm thinking about training, for me sport is important. My physical condition is getting better and better and the goal is to get back on the pitch as quickly as possible. I think it will happen soon, but I don't know exactly when, how or where.” says Bove.
Now you see me in a jacket and tie, but I want to wear shorts and a t-shirt again. Everything that happened to me motivated me to grow a lot and have new experiences. And I learned to accept a different version of myself,” Edoardo Bove confessed.
