Judicial nominations and presidential decisions. Survey about Karol Nawrocki


As part of the study, respondents were asked two key questions related to the role of President Nawrocki in the judicial system.
The first concerned the president's position, according to which he has the decisive vote in judicial nominations. The question was: “Do you agree with President Karol Nawrocki's position that he plays a decisive role in the judicial nomination process?”
According to the results, 39 percent study participants expressed support for this opinion — including 21 percent strongly agreed with her, and 18 percent rather, it supported her. In turn, 36 percent respondents do not share this viewwith 26 percent strongly disagree with it, and 10 percent expressed moderate opposition.

The second question related to President Nawrocki's recent decision to refuse to nominate 46 judges. Respondents answered the question: “How do you assess President Karol Nawrocki's recent decision to refuse to nominate 46 judges?”
The results show that 37 percent Poles evaluate this step positivelyof which 23 percent expresses strong satisfaction, and 14 percent moderate support. However, 35 percent respondents evaluate the decision negatively — 26 percent strongly criticizes it, and 9 percent expresses moderate opposition.
The remaining 28 percent respondents were unable to clearly define their position.

The research was conducted on November 13-14, 2025 by the Ariadna National Research Panel on behalf of Wirtualna Polska. The CAWI method, i.e. computer-assisted internet interview, was used. The research sample included 1,050 people.
