Full schedule of Bundesliga round #10

Before today's duel, the Bavarians were coming off the back of 16 consecutive successes in all competitions, an absolute record for a team in Europe's top leagues at the start of the season.

Bayern's impressive winning streak has come to an end in Berlin!

The hosts were extremely brave in the beginning of the match, and this was also seen on the scoreboard. After only 10 minutes from the starting whistle of “central” Florian Exner, Steffen Baumgart's students managed to score, through Ilyas Ansah, but the 21-year-old striker's goal was disallowed for offside.

Even so, Union did not back down, and in the 27th minute came the opening score. Following a corner kick by Janik Haberer, Dutchman Danilho Doekhi took a right-footed shot towards Neuer's goal, and Bayern's veteran goalkeeper failed to catch the ball, ending up in the net.

However, the German champions restored the tie before the break, thanks to Lucho Diaz, who followed and saved a ball that seemed to be leaking out of the field, after which he overcame an opponent with a technical gesture of great refinement, and it all ended with the Colombian's textbook finish, to which Frederik Ronnow was powerless.

In the second act, the Bavarians ran after scoring the goal that would give them the advantage, but the defense of the hosts resisted. What's more, at the end of the match, Union Berlin took the lead again, Doekhi making the “double”, also following a set phase, after taking advantage of a wrong rejection by Harry Kane.

However, the English striker got his revenge in extra time, more precisely in the third extra minute of the game, when he headed Ronnow's goal from the penalty area. Afterwards, in the little time left, Bayern tried to score the winning goal as well, but in the end the final score remained 2-2.

However, following this result, the Bavarians increased their lead at the top of the German standings. Vincent Kompany's side have amassed 28 points and are now six lengths clear of second-placed RB Leipzig after Ole Werner's side fell to Hoffenheim 1-3 at Sinsheim.

On the other hand, those from Union Berlin reached the milestone with number 12 and occupy the 10th position in the Bundesliga.

In the next round of the Bundesliga, Bayern will receive the visit of Freiburg, while Union will perform on the field of St. Pauli.
