Recently, Halep was present at the Tournament of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she had a special role: that of ambassador of the competition, alongside other huge names of world tennis, such as Angelique Kerber, Ons Jabeur and Garbine Muguruza.
On this occasion, WTA representatives invited Simona to a quick question session about her life after retirement. The Romanian's answers were full of sincerity and optimism, pleasantly surprising fans from all over the world.
“I like doing nothing the most. Because it's relaxing and I need a rest!”answered Simona, to the question “What do you like to do in your free time?”.
He wants to improve his golf skills
As for her new goals, the Constantinian admitted that she aims to improve her golf skills.
Fascinated by everything that means sports and physical effort, Simona admitted that she likes the “adrenaline of victories” the most at competitions, this being the thing she misses completely since retiring from the circuit.
“Paolini and Anisimova inspire me!”
Asked which of the players who reached the WTA finals this year inspires her the most, Simona Halep did not hesitate to name two high-calibre athletes.
“I have two, Paolini, because she fought really hard to get here, and also Anisimova, because she's struggled in the past with her mental health, and now she's in the top eight, which is incredible!”Halep admitted.
