Novak Djokovic (38 years old, 5 ATP) qualified for the final of the ATP 250 tournament in Athens, after a victory in 2 sets, 6-3, 6-4, with the German Yannick Hanfmann (33 years, 117 ATP). On Saturday, November 8, the Serbian can get the 101st title of his career.

Less than 24 hours after his victory against Nuno Borges (28 years old, 47 ATP), Novak Djokovic returned to the elegant arena of the Panathinaikos basketball team, which was transformed to host the Hellenic Championship.

Novak Djokovic, in search of his 101st career title: “I can't wait for the final”

The 38-year-old dominated both sets and needed just one hour and 20 minutes to win. Yannick Hanfmann tried to put his opponent in danger with some powerful serves, but Djokovic found the right answers and prevailed 6-3, 6-4.

“Good evening! Thank you for supporting me and filling this amazing arena again. It's my 3rd match today and I always feel great. It's one of the most beautiful arenas in the world. You deserve it,” the world number 5 began his speech after the victory with Hanfmann.

I think it was the best tennis I played in this tournament. He is always a big threat because he is a tall player who serves very well and is aggressive. I had to be focused until the end. We were down 3-1 in the second set, but then we came back and won. In the end it was a good level and I can't wait for the final tomorrow”, concluded Djokovic, before inviting fans to come to the final on Saturday and fill the Telekom Center in the Greek capital.

In the fight for the trophy, the tennis player with 24 Grand Slam titles will play either the American Sebastian Korda (25 years old, 52 ATP) or the Italian Lorenzo Musetti (23 years old, 9 ATP), who needs the title to qualify for the Champions Tour.
