Barcelona's players inaugurated the new 'Spotify Camp Nou' on Friday with a training session open to supporters.

Fans started arriving an hour and a half before the training session scheduled for 11:00, eager to take the “pulse” of the new arena, built on the site of the old “Camp Nou”. Emotions were high, after 894 days on the “wandering”, and until the appearance of the team and staff on the green rectangle, everyone in the arena “inspected” it with their eyes, before putting their personal smartphone to work, for photos and videos.

Fan reactions: “Wonderful, and when it's ready it's going to be spectacular. Força Barça!”

“It's crazy”, “It's incredible”… “I was surprised, I'm speechless. It's gigantic”…”It's very beautiful, the colors…” “Wonderful, and when it's ready it will be spectacular. Força Barça!” – were the first impressions collected by the journalists from the major Catalan dailies, Mundo Deportivo and Sport.

And president Joan Laporta joined the fans. “He left the VIP box to approach them and take photos. The FC Barcelona president lived a truly historic and emotional day and was obviously very pleased,” reported Mundo Deportivo.

Many of Barcelona's players hadn't even set foot on the old Camp Nou turf!

When descending on the lawn, Lamine Yamal et comp. were received with applause. And for them it was something special. Many had never even set foot on the old Camp Nou, including coach Hansi Flick.

Some, like Szczesny or Rashford, had only played there as rivals. Others, not even that much, despite their connection to the “La Masia” Academy or the reserve team (Casadó, Olmo, Fermín, Gerard Martín, Bernal, Cubarsí, Dro…). Joan Garcia and Bardghji took their turn for the first time on the pitch of the Blaugrana temple.

Barcelona will play at the New Spotify Camp Nou for the first time on November 22, against Athletic Bilbao. The reigning champion of Spain has set a capacity of 23,000 spectators for now, with work still to be done in other sections of the stand, and tickets sold out in a few days.
