Two gymnastics coaches from Nice, France, are on trial for sexual abuse and violence against several minor victims, Gazeta Sporturilor reports, citing the French publication francebleu.fr. According to the cited source, one of the coaches is from Romania and graduated from the “Nadia Comăneci” Sports College in Onești.
According to the data from the trial, the names of the two coaches are Yohan Lefevre (45 years old) from France and Violeta Damian (52 years old) from Tecuci, Romania,
Lefevre is accused of violence, sexual harassment and sexual abuse, with the prosecution asking for 2 years in prison, while the coach from Romania is being investigated for violence, asking for an 18-month suspended sentence.
“If I kiss you, will you tell your parents?”, was one of the lines of the 45-year-old coach, according to the testimony of a former gymnast, present in court with her colleagues, writes Gsp.
