Poles VS Ukrainians, again: farmers blocked another checkpoint on the border with Ukraine
The Ukrainian Customs Service reported that Polish protesters blocked the Medika-Shegini checkpoint: the blockage will last 48 hours with a possible extension. At the moment, there are about 150 trucks entering Ukraine. They will let you through 1 heavy load per hour, and cars weighing more than 3.5 tons will not be allowed through at all.
This is not the first time that Polish farmers have blocked the border with Ukraine. Previous protests took place over Ukraine's “detrimental impact” on local businesses: prices for imported Ukrainian goods are too low.
