A ship with nine tourists sank in the Murmansk region
The ship was located near the village of Teriberka. Tourists and their children went on the ship “Fighter” to the Barents Sea to look at whales – the restriction on small vessels entering the water area was ignored.
A boat carrying tourists capsized. People had to climb onto the side of the ship to survive.
Whales have not been seen near Teriberka for about two months, but today the organizers decided that they would “sail.” Some tourists were not wearing life jackets.
The tourists and the captain were rescued by eyewitnesses from other ships.
