What about ETS2? Prime Minister Tusk provided new information

It is to enter into force in 2027 the EU ETS2 system, i.e. a new climate tax, specifically, the expansion of the European Emissions Trading System. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transport and construction sectors.
In practice new regulations may lead to higher prices for, among others: drivers and owners of single-family housesusing solid fuels for heating. This issue was the topic of the European Council meeting with the participation of, among others, Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

— We managed to enter the key word for us, which is: revision. Revision – i.e. changes to this project when, according to the Member States, it is necessary. This means not a guarantee, but the possibility of (…) postponement blocking it so that it does not come into force in 2027 – Tusk said after the European Council meeting.
As he said, the extension of the ETS system was to come into force in 2027. – This is an idea that would make not only factories and workplaces, but also households and car users pay if they did not insulate their houses or consumed too much gasoline, this is justified in terms of climate protection, but it would certainly be very unpleasant for Polish users – he said.
Tusk said that “we now have time to review these ideas and projects together with other EU countries.” — We are witnessing a very serious turnaround in this matter – he added.
