Along with the block in Rahova destroyed by the explosion on October 17, dozens of cars were also damaged. The City Hall of the Capital is looking for solutions to compensate owners who do not have Casco.

In the case of many of the cars damaged by the explosion in Rahova, the damage is total, and the owners have nothing left to do with them, according to a Digi 24 report. All are now in a garage of the Bucharest Transport Company.
Immediately after the explosion that killed three people and injured several tenants, tons of concrete fell on these cars. Pieces of the shattered walls can still be found on these cars or inside them.

In the images released by the cited source, a piece of the block's wall can be seen on the seats of one of the cars.
The value of the damages recorded in these cases amounts to hundreds of thousands of euros.
Some of the owners of these cars did not have CASCO, which means that they will not be able to receive the compensation that those who have such policies expect from insurance companies.

The Capital city hall is looking for solutions for them, announced on Thursday, the interim mayor Stelian Bujduveanu, who specified that the municipality will try to compensate the owners of destroyed cars that do not have CASCO.
The explosion occurred in the evening of October 17, in the block of Calea Rahovei, completely destroyed the building and seriously damaged other buildings in the area. Several people were injured and dozens of families were left homeless. According to IGSU, the probable cause is a gas build-up in the building's basement, and investigations are ongoing.
The Acting General Mayor of the Capital, Stelian Bujduveanu, announced that the Government is preparing a normative act that will allow the Bucharest City Hall to rebuild buildings affected by catastrophes, without the owners losing their ownership rights. The statement comes after discussions with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and Minister of Development, Cseke Attila.
