Beavers turned off the power in four settlements in the Leningrad region
Trees felled by beavers damaged power lines and left residents of the village of Cherentsovo and the villages of Oktyabrenok, Khalezevo and Turavkino without electricity. Power engineers who went to fix the problems discovered a new dam, the construction of which led to flooding of a forest area and made travel difficult.
An excavator was driven into the forest and the dam was dismantled. The animals were not harmed.
