Those employed in the Social Cooperative “Nasielszczanie” claim that its former president, Janusz K., did not pay them the money due, even though the settlement documents included the full amounts. As we hear in the “Interwencja” report, until recently the man was considered an exemplary citizen of Nasielsk – a local activist and scoutmaster, promoted in city materials. Today, he is facing a conflict with his employees and millions of dollars in debt.
“He has won many awards in the field of cooperation with disabled people,” notes Radosław Kasiak, mayor of Nasielsk. “Mr. Janusz enjoys public trust, and this translates into the fact that such people are not controlled,” comments Bogumiła Szlaska, former vice-president of the “Nasielszczanie” Cooperative, in the material.

The cooperative, subsidized by the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons, conducted production and commercial activities. However, in January 2024, it stopped paying salaries. The president explained that PFRON had suspended the funds. The fund actually froze the grant. This was due to arrears in ZUS fees. As a result, the cooperative's debt to public institutions and employees reached several million zlotys.
According to journalists, the cooperative owes almost PLN 1.5 million to its employees for last year.
“For June 2024, he charged me PLN 1,379, which according to him was how much I had earned. And when I told him how much money my contract was for and threatened me with a lawyer, he correctly charged me PLN 2,788.” – one of the employed women tells “Interwencja”.

Additionally, during one of the recorded meetings, according to the station, the president allegedly said: “I paid them remuneration for 2024 that they did not deserve.”
For many employees, especially people with disabilities, the lack of salary means a disastrous situation.

The commune and parish dissociate themselves from responsibility
The cooperative was co-founded by the Nasielsk Commune, the parish in the village of Nuna and a local association (today no longer active). Currently, neither party wants to be financially responsible. “There is no way for the commune to pay these outstanding salaries,” admits the mayor of Nasielsk, Radosław Kasiak. “The parish is small, we are expanding the church, this investment is extremely expensive,” adds the parish priest, Fr. Waldemar Marciniak.
President Janusz K. avoids contact with the media. When he tried to talk to the editors of “Interwencja”, he responded with silence or hung up after a few seconds.
