Since the beginning of this year, 1,083 stray dogs have been caught on the streets of Krasnoyarsk, of which 367 were released into their habitat after sterilization. The mayor's office spoke about this.

At the expense of the budget, 1,220 dogs are now kept in city shelters for life; veterinarians have diagnosed them with “unmotivated aggression.” 157 rubles are allocated for each dog per day. They try to place healthy people in good hands.

Not only mongrel dogs live in shelters; there are, for example, huskies, sharpeis, and alabai.

“Everyone has their own stories and names, some even live in personal booths,” the mayor’s office said. — Information about such dogs is posted on social networks of shelters. You can not only take them home, but also take care of them by visiting them periodically. So, in one animal shelter, the “administrator” and everyone’s favorite became the mongrel Rosalia, who ended up there as a puppy. The employees assigned her the position after noticing how the dog loves to be in office premises and control all processes – from filling out documents to accounting for feed.”

The administration reminded that the humane catching of stray animals in Krasnoyarsk is carried out around the clock. You need to leave applications through the 005 service by phone 223-85-05, information is processed in mandatory within 24 hours from the date of receipt.

In the near future, tenders will be announced on the electronic government procurement platform to find contractors who will be involved in catching stray animals and related procedures by the end of the year. “Work with stray dogs in the city is carried out using funds allocated to Krasnoyarsk from the regional budget. Now municipal contracts and agreements will be concluded in the amount of about 10 million rubles. Another 6.9 million rubles were allocated for these purposes during the autumn adjustment of the regional budget. In total, since the beginning of the year, 15 municipal contracts and agreements have been concluded with various contractors to organize work with stray animals in Krasnoyarsk,” the administration reported.
