Krasnoyarsk residents were told how much things for newborns cost

Newslab conducted a study and found out how much a minimum set of things for a newborn baby would cost Krasnoyarsk residents.

Parents from Krasnoyarsk will have to spend about 6,800 rubles to dress their baby. With this money, moms and dads will be able to buy: two hats for 200 rubles each, five pairs of socks for 50 rubles, five bodysuits for 450 rubles, five rompers for 350 rubles each, five vests for 350 rubles and two pairs of anti-scratch boots for 200 rubles.

Before going for a walk with their child, Krasnoyarsk residents will need to purchase an envelope – the average price is 800 rubles, a car seat – 4,150 rubles apiece, and a stroller costing around 8,500 rubles. In total, all this will cost around 13,450 rubles.

In order to properly organize the care of a newborn, new parents will need: baby scissors – 250 rubles, wet wipes – 500 rubles (for the 1st month), powder – 300 rubles, a changing table – 3,400 rubles, baby cotton swabs – 250 rubles, three packs of baby diapers of 100 pieces – 5,100 rubles (for the 1st month month). The total will be 9,800 rubles.

You will have to spend about 1,750 rubles on things for bathing, with this money you can buy: a water thermometer for 200 rubles, baby soap for 350 rubles, a bath for 400 rubles and two towels, each for 400 rubles.

Organizing a sleeping place will cost Krasnoyarsk residents 13,250 rubles. This amount includes two sheets for 500 rubles, 10 diapers for 250 rubles each, a mattress for 4,400 rubles and a crib for 5,350 rubles.

New parents will be able to purchase a complete basic set of things for a baby for 45,050 rubles. For the assessment, we used the median price of the 100 most popular products of the corresponding category in the budget price segment on one of the Russian marketplaces.
