“We warn the United States government against a serious threat: through surgery under a false flag, the extremist centers of the local right intend to put explosives at the US embassy in Venezuela” – said the chairman of the National Assembly Jorge Rodriguez in a statement.
As the agency reminds, the Venezuela government systematically accuses the opposition of real or imaginary conspiracies.

Caracas and Washington broke up diplomatic relations in 2019. There is no longer American staff at the US embassy, although there may still be several local employees – the agency said.

Rodriguez announced in a message published on the Telegram channel that the threat is “serious”.
The US Army carried out several attacks on boats in the region, which, according to Washington's claims, were used for drug smuggling (according to Venezuela's administration, it supports this practice). Caracas authorities strongly denied these accusations.
