The prosecutor's office requested 5.5 years of the colony to the former deputy minister of sports of the Krasnoyarsk Territory (video)

The prosecutor’s office requested a former manager of Platinum Arena JSC and the first deputy minister of sports Roman Sotnikov 5.5 years of a general regime colony. He is accused of fraud and organizing assignment of funds entrusted to the head of the joint -stock company.

The press service of the supervisory authority recalled that in 2020, the general director of Platinum Arena Roman Sotnikov learned that the sports and entertainment complex needed to maintain security systems. He thought out a plan for assigning money allocated for these purposes. Speaking as the organizer of the crime, he proposed his friend – Sergei Kolyako to become a performer of a fraudulent scheme.

Having freed his position to the successor, and being appointed First Deputy Minister of Sports, Roman Sotnikov coordinated the actions of the accomplice.

“Sergey Kolyako, under the control of the initiator, with the help of the stand -up director, opened LLC SK Vavilon. Platinum Arena and the newly -made enterprise concluded contracts for several tens of millions of rubles among themselves. Payment was subject to services for maintenance of security television systems, inspection equipment, fire extinguishing, security alarm. However, part of the funds entrusted to the director of the joint -stock company “settled” in the pockets of the head of the complex, who shared them with his “partner”, ”the prosecutor’s office said.

According to the documents, the services were fully provided, but in fact – 1 million rubles less. The amount was stolen thanks to the signed management acts of the reception. They indicated unfulfilled work. Then the object was presented to the region, and Sergei Kolyako was approved as the manager.

Continuing a criminal conspiracy, in 2023, accomplices stole a fee under another service agreement between the KGAU “Regional Center for Sports Structures” and LLC “SK VAVILOL”, signing acts on the full implementation of unfinished work. The amount of damage amounted to 1.3 million rubles

Roman Sotnikov pleaded guilty to the investigation and compensated the damage caused. In the debate in the case, which took place in February this year, the state prosecutor took into account the active contribution of the investigation of the crime and requested 3.5 years of a penal colony of general regime for the former first deputy minister of sports of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

However, after that, the defendant changed the position of the case. Roman Sotnikov did not agree with the volume of the charge and the amount of damage, and also filed a petition for the resumption of the judicial investigation to provide additional evidence.

Today, on October 1, according to the results of an additional judicial investigation, the deputy prosecutor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Rustam Gayfulin requested the defendant a punishment in the form of 5.5 years in prison with a colony of general regime. The sentence will be announced on October 6, 2025 at 10:00.
