In connection with the EU summit, which will take place on Wednesday and Thursday in Copenhagen as part of the Danish presidency in the Union, special security measures were introduced. They include increased protection of airports, government facilities and key critical infrastructure. Support from the US and other European countries aims to strengthen Denmark's ability to detect and neutralize potential threats from unmanned aerial vehicles.
Security experts indicate that drone attacks are a new form of hybrid threat, which may interfere with the functioning of states during important political and economic events. The persistent activity of drones over strategic locations in Denmark emphasizes the importance of transatlantic cooperation and exchange of experiences in combating threats in cyberspace and airspace.
The decision to include the US to secure the summit shows that Copenhagen treats the problem seriously and is ready to use allies resources to ensure the safety of the meeting participants and the stability of the country in the face of new challenges in national defense.
