There are the results of parliamentary elections in Moldova. Pro -Russian parties lose their elections

This state, with less than 3 million inhabitants, has been balancing for years between European integration and strict ties with Russia. The war in neighboring Ukraine additionally sharpened these divisions – the government in Chisinau focuses on cooperation with Brussels and strengthening security, while pro -Russian groups accuse the West of trying to engage Moldova into a regional conflict.

This is what the narrative was presented by Igor Dodon, a socialist leader and former president, who on the post -election night accused the authorities of “acting according to the West instructions” and “falsifying elections”. According to him, the patriotic election block actually won, and the current results are the result of manipulation. Dodon called on his supporters to protest in front of the headquarters of the Central Electoral Commission, announcing the defense of the “true victory” on the streets.
