As the “Super Business” website reminds, the provisions of the Labor Code predict that an additional day off can be granted automatically, without having to submit an application.
In 2025, All Saints' celebration falls on Saturday, which has a direct impact on the work schedule. Pursuant to art. 130 § 2 of the Labor Code, each holiday that does not fall on Sunday, causes a reduction in working time by eight hours.
In practice, this means that if the holiday falls on Saturday, the employer is obliged to appoint another day off for employees.
Additional day off. You do not need to submit a vacation application
The decision when an additional day off is granted depends on the settlement period in force at a given workplace.
According to “Super Business”, in the case of a monthly billing period, it should be free in November, while for longer periods, such as a quarterly, a day off can be appointed on Friday, October 31, 2025.
The final decision is made by the employer by enrolling it in the regulations or ordinance of the company.
