Unofficially: the European Union wants restrictions for Russian diplomats. There is a proposal
As RMF FM indicates, new restrictions are to cover Russian diplomats, their families, technical employees and administrative embassies, missions or consulates. The Russians would be obliged to inform 24 hours in advance about the intention to go to another EU country than the one in which they are currently residing.
In addition, the information provided will have to include data on the means of transport, license plates and the place where they plan to cross the border.
Restrictions are to enable the control of their movement to secure the European Union against sabotage files – one of the representatives of EU diplomacy said in an interview with RMF FM.
The Russians seek to limit the possibilities of free movement by the Russians, among others Czech Republic supported by Poland.
