“On the table there is a good proposal on Ukraine, which was transmitted to the American president Donald Trump and taken to Washington to be analyzed and debated. A very good proposal,” Lukașenko told Russian public television, after meeting Vladimir Putin, according to EFE, taken by Agerpres.
Main Kremlin ally in the Ukraine War, Lukașnko claimed that if Kiev does not accept the dialogue, the situation “It will be even more serious”: “They will lose Ukraine.”
“It should have stopped (in 2022, after the negotiations in Istanbul). They would have control over the whole of the East, except Crimea. They have not stopped and lost east. If they do not stop now, in my opinion, they will lose the whole of Ukraine,” he added.
The leader Belarus, who listened during the meeting with Putin a report of the General Staff of the Russian Army about the evolution of the war, said that “Later, it will be very difficult to stop the Russian army.”
Commenting on Zelenski's recent statements about possible Kremlin attacks, Lukaşnko said “Anything can be declared ”, but warned: “What would happen if the Kremlin bombard Bankovaia (the headquarters of the Ukrainian Presidency)? Volodimir Oleksandrovici (Zelenski) must calm down.”
“I would simply want to talk to him. I think the time has come to start consultations,” Lukașenko said.
Lukaşnko and Putin discussed more than five hours on Friday in Moscow, after the Belarus leader participated in an atomic energy forum.
