Conor McGregor (37 years old), the former UFC champion in two categories – wedge and light, revealed the dizzying amount for which he will return to the competition, after 4 years of absence. The Irishman will receive $ 100 million, plus 100 “gold visas” to fight in the UFC gala that will be organized in 2026, at the “White House”.
The event would take place around July 4, 2026, which marks the 250th anniversary of the Day of Independence of the United States.

“I look forward to entertaining the world of contact sports again. A pleasure that I never think of it.”
There are still no officially confirmed fighters for the White House gala, although several big names have expressed their interest, including McGregor, recently withdrawn Jon Jones and the UFC unbeatable champion, Khamzat Chimaev.
It is assumed that much of the current planning is rather related to the logistics of organizing a large outdoor event and the security needed to ensure the safety of all participants, including Trump, numerous other political personalities and celebrities, as well as thousands of fans.
McGregor, 37, counts the days until he can fight again, after missing more than four years.
“The champions champion returns,” McGregor wrote. “There are little more than eight months to the UFC at the White House. I look forward to seeing how my body is in shape. How my selection of blows is perfected. How my masterpiece will be painted.”

During his absence, McGregor's name remained in the titles, although often for wrong reasons.
In November last year, McGregor was found guilty of sexual assault in a civil process related to a 2018 case in Dublin, his hometown. Currently, he also faces another trial, in which he is accused of sexual assault on a woman during a Miami Heat match of 2023.
McGregor also tried to enter politics, applying for a place for future presidential elections in Ireland. However, he retired from the race in September, after his candidacy attempt received weak support from Oireachtas (Irish Parliament).
