Meeting of the heads of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Syria. Possible to restore the embassy


“Talks concerned: restoring the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Damascus (currently in Beirut), development assistance, support for democratic changes in Syria,” we read in the Thursday communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to which a photo of the heads of diplomacy of both countries was also attached. The meeting of ministers took place in the margins of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Currently in Syria there is a temporary administration that emerged from the fundamentalist organization of Hajat Tahrir Ash-Szam (HTS). The leader of the Ahmad Ash-Szara group is currently the temporary president of Syria. The Syrian election committee announced that parliamentary elections, the first after last year's overthrow, will take place on October 5.
