“Regardless of the interpretation of the words of President Trump, I would like to remind you that France, Great Britain, USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Italy declared additional help.” – wrote Donald Tusk on the X. platform.
Poland simplifies the provisions on the defense against drones
Earlier, also on Friday, The Ministry of National Defense has announced that thanks to the new regulations, the army will gain modern drones and anti -troops faster. The deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk signed a decision on testing unmanned aerial vehicles and systems for combating them in the Polish Armed Forces.
“Later this month, according to earlier announcements, the latest solutions from the market – now at the end of tests as part of the exercises of the PK.” Iron Defender 25 ” – will go to the Polish Army. In the face of growing threats, we simplify the system of acquiring innovative technologies for the army. Thanks to this, Poland gains real abilities to effectively respond to contemporary challenges” – emphasized Tomczyk, quoted in a message.
The ministry reminded that the decision of the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense clarifies the provisions arising from the Specter of July 25, 2025 regarding strategic defense and security investments. Pursuant to art. 2 para. 5 of this Act, when purchasing unmanned systems by the armed forces of the Republic of Poland, which underwent positive tests and obtained the army's recommendation, no public procurement law shall apply.
“It was therefore necessary to determine at the departmental level the meaning of the concept” tested in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland “and the mode of such actions” – noted in the announcement.
