Lewis Hamilton Starts from Pole in Mexican Grand Prix as Kimi Antonelli Eyes Championship Title

Lewis Hamilton will start from pole position at the Mexican Grand Prix, but all eyes are on Kimi Antonelli, who is on the verge of securing the world championship title tonight. The 19th race of the season is set to begin at 10:00 PM local time and will be broadcast live on Antena 3 CNN.
The current Formula 1 season is nearing its conclusion, and the suspense surrounding the championship title has diminished. Kimi Antonelli has had an exceptional season and needs just two more points to secure the title. This means that finishing in 9th place in the Mexican race would be sufficient, regardless of his competitors’ results.

Antonelli will begin the race from the 4th position on the grid, with Hamilton occupying the top spot. This marks the first time Hamilton has started from pole since joining Ferrari.
“It’s been amazing. I’m so happy. I’m at a loss for words. This weekend has been very challenging. We faced engine issues during the second practice session that hindered our long runs, but the team did a fantastic job. This is my first pole position since joining Ferrari and the 105th of my career. I love that number,” Hamilton expressed enthusiastically.
“Where there’s a will, there’s a way. It’s all about mindset. I’m doing everything I can to stay healthy. Above all, I love what I do, and that passion has never left me. I wake up every morning thinking about it. I receive so much support from around the world, which drives me forward. I hope I’ve made the fans happy and that I can do it again tomorrow,” added the seven-time world champion, as reported by L’Equipe.
Antonelli, who triumphed in the United States Grand Prix last week in Austin, Texas, has previewed the race that could bring him the world title.
“I faced difficulties with the tires in Q3. Both laps were very tough, especially due to the dropping temperatures. I made many mistakes, but 4th place is a good result for tomorrow’s race. It will be important to get a good start and avoid issues. I’ve also saved a set of soft tires that we will try to maximize at the start,” the Italian stated, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
