Ukrainian Red Cross Offers Comprehensive Humanitarian Aid to Residents of Oleshky

The Ukrainian Red Cross is actively extending comprehensive humanitarian assistance to residents of Oleshky who have relocated within Ukraine. In collaboration with the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, led by Dmytro Lubinets, the organization is focused on supporting those from the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson Oblast.

Approximately 50 staff members and volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross are involved in the relief efforts. They have mobilized 16 specialized teams to transport individuals with limited mobility, ensuring safe transfers to designated temporary housing locations. Additionally, transport arrangements for pets have been made to assist families during this challenging time.

The organization is also distributing warm clothing for both children and adults, blankets, and kits for psychological first aid. Recipients will receive personal hygiene kits and mobile phones, facilitating communication with their families.

Furthermore, the Ukrainian Red Cross plans to continue supporting individuals in their temporary accommodation over the following week, providing necessary assistance based on their specific needs. The next phase of support includes a one-time financial aid of 52,375 UAH per household, aimed primarily at covering housing rental expenses for the initial three months. Depending on the family’s individual needs, these funds can also be allocated for purchasing essential household items, medications, warm clothing, and other urgent necessities.

The Ukrainian Red Cross remains dedicated to addressing the immediate humanitarian needs of those from Oleshky and aiding their adaptation in their new environments.
