Zelensky Alerts Ukrainians About New Russian Ballistic Attack Preparations

President Volodymyr Zelensky convened a meeting to discuss strategies against Russian ballistic threats, emphasizing the need for stronger sanctions and military support from international partners.
Zelensky criticized the current sanctions as insufficient, stating that while their impact might take time to manifest, prompt action is required to address the ongoing supply chains supporting Russian missile production.
During the meeting, additional tasks were assigned regarding Ukraine’s long-range strike capabilities, which Zelensky noted have shown significant progress recently, although specific details remain undisclosed. He shared a report indicating that Ukrainian strikes had successfully targeted two Russian Su-34 aircraft and damaged an Iskander launch system.
The President also highlighted the importance of interceptor systems, particularly the Patriot air defense systems, which allies could provide to enhance Ukraine’s defense against incoming ballistic threats.
“We need these systems to protect lives. Intelligence reports indicate that Russia is preparing new ballistic strikes, and we require the necessary capabilities to intercept these threats. We await the appropriate decisions and I thank everyone who genuinely supports us! Please take care of yourselves,” Zelensky urged.

- On October 27, Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported that Italy was delaying a new military aid package to Ukraine, which was set to include crucial interceptors for air defense against Russian attacks.
