New Commander Appointed for Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps

Rogozyuk previously led the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade
The “Center” military grouping of Ukraine comprises three corps: the 3rd, 11th, and 19th. This grouping is responsible for defending the territory from the southern approaches of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi in the Kharkiv region to Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, including areas such as Borova, Lyman, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, and Kostiantynivka.
“This is a key sector at this stage of the war, accounting for 26% of the front, meaning every fourth kilometer of the front is directly within our grouping,” said Biletsky.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the establishment of two new groupings to bolster Ukraine’s defense in the Donetsk region on August 26. One was to be led by Biletsky and the other by Azov commander Denys Prokopenko (Redis). Later, Deputy Commander of the 3rd Army Corps Rodion Kudryashov informed LIGA.net that Biletsky would head the “Center” grouping, although he did not specify when this would occur. During Operation “Vivaldi,” the corps’ press service referred to Biletsky as its commander without mentioning his new role.
Rogozyuk joined the army in December 2013, serving in a transport aviation brigade and providing rear support during the conflict in the east, according to NV. He returned to civilian life in 2017 but rejoined the military after the full-scale invasion, defending the capital as part of the “Azov – Kyiv” regiment. Subsequently, he commanded a company in the 1st Assault Battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade near Bakhmut, leading operational planning, and he became the deputy chief of staff after the formation of the corps. In October 2025, Biletsky appointed him commander of the 60th Brigade.
