Nelu Varga Rewards CFR Cluj Players for Victory in Derby Against U Cluj

Nelu Varga, the owner of CFR Cluj, announced in a recent interview that he would reward the team with a bonus for a victory in their derby match against U Cluj. The match is scheduled for tomorrow evening at 20:30 in Gruia and is a rescheduled fixture from the fourth round of the Superliga.
While Varga is currently in Africa for personal business, he expressed high hopes for the upcoming clash with local rivals, emphasizing the intensity and pride involved in such matches. “It will be a perfect spectacle. This type of match brings forth pride and ambitions, reflecting what Cluj deserves. There have been many thrilling encounters with numerous goals, and surprises are always possible,” Varga stated.
He expressed confidence in the team’s coach, Marius Șumudică, saying, “We hope to emerge victorious, and I have maximum trust in Marius and his players. I congratulate him on preparing the team well.” Varga reiterated his commitment to rewarding the players, stating, “If they win, I solemnly promise the boys that I will prepare a victory bonus! I have great confidence in the team and the staff. I keep my faith in them, even though I haven’t seen them play recently.”
“I wish for maximum success for CFR Cluj and a good spirit. It would be a lovely gift for me after my recent birthday, and I would consider the victory a personal gift,” Varga added.
Turning to striker Billel Omrani, Varga commented on his impressive form: “Omrani is fit and serious; now it depends on his luck not to get injured. I hope he can perform like he did when he helped us win titles. He has been a pleasant surprise for everyone.” Omrani is keen to prove his worth in the squad after having played just 8 minutes in the last match against Botoșani, which ended 3-1 in favor of CFR Cluj. He has scored 47 goals in 210 appearances for the team and provided 42 assists throughout his tenure.
