Cătălin Cîrjan and Raul Opruț Return to Training After National Team Disappointment

Following a disappointing stint with the national team in the UEFA Nations League, where they saw minimal action, Cătălin Cîrjan and Raul Opruț wasted no time getting back into training at Dinamo. The duo, called up by coach Gică Hagi, had limited minutes in four matches, prompting them to focus on their preparations.
Cîrjan and Opruț arrived at the training base in Săftica early in the morning to resume their routine. They have adopted a habit of holding additional morning training sessions, starting their workouts around 7:00 AM, well ahead of the team’s usual schedule.
Morning Workouts Highlight Dedication of Cîrjan and Opruț
According to Radio Dinamo 1948, it has been noted that the two players consistently arrive at the gym early, prompting the facility to be opened specifically for their workouts. This dedication showcases their leadership within the team’s locker room.
Cătălin Cîrjan played a mere 12 minutes in the heavy defeat to Poland (0-6) and 7 minutes against Sweden, while Raul Opruț did not see any playing time at all during the matches.
“I believe the frustration is significant for both Opruț and Cîrjan due to their lack of playing time with the national team. With the disappointing results, it’s easy to criticize decisions made by coaches. However, I am convinced this situation is challenging for them. They are training hard, but they are not part of the plans for upcoming matches. As professionals, they must be ready when called upon. The focus now is to channel that frustration into strong performances for Dinamo’s upcoming matches,” commented Andrei Nicolescu on the situation facing the two players.
Dinamo is set to return to the Superliga on Friday, October 9, at 21:00, against Sepsi, a team coached by Ovidiu Burcă, who has successfully brought Dinamo back into the top league.
