Disputes Over Lounge Chairs
Frequent disputes over lounge chairs on crowded beaches in Europe have been referred to as the “lounge chair wars” by Greek Reporter. Tourists often wake up early to place towels on beach or pool lounge chairs to reserve their spots; some even do this the night before to ensure they get their preferred location the next day. This ritual is particularly common in busy Mediterranean destinations, including Greece, during the peak summer months.
