Belgian MP Rescued After Getting Trapped in Parliament Restroom

Frederik Erens, a Belgian Member of Parliament, found himself trapped in a restroom overnight due to a broken lock. After finishing work, he entered the parliament restroom but could not exit as the lock malfunctioned and he had forgotten his phone. Despite his desperate shouts and banging on the door, no one heard him.
In the morning, a cleaning staff member eventually freed him. However, Erens was later taken to the hospital as he suffered from oxygen deprivation after the restroom’s ventilation system had turned off for the night.
