In a tragic incident in Kyiv, police officers responding to a domestic violence call shot and killed a man who attacked them. Reports indicate that the suspect was assaulting and attempting to strangle his mother when officers arrived.
As the officers worked to de-escalate the situation, the man reportedly lunged at one of the police officers, prompting a shot that resulted in the suspect’s death.
Authorities, including a criminal investigation team and representatives from the internal security and State Bureau of Investigation, are currently on site to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
